Traditional Leading Stained Glass — 3-Week Beginner Course Discover the timeless craft of Traditional Leaded Stained Glass in this beginner-friendly, three-week workshop! Perfect for first-timers or those wanting a refresher, this class walks you through each step of creating a classic leaded glass panel using centuries-old techniques. Over three weekly sessions, you’ll: ✨ Choose your pattern designed for first-time lead work ✨ Select your glass and learn how to use jigs to set up your work area ✨ Learn to cut glass for accuracy and clean fits ✨ Assemble your panel by cutting lead came, fitting pieces together, and building your panel within a sturdy frame ✨ Solder your joints for strong, secure construction ✨ Cement and clean your panel, strengthening it and giving it the beautiful finished look traditional leading is known for. Glass is not included in the price however Solder, Lead, and Chemicals are. Glass can be purchased for your project, or you are welcome to bring your own. By the end of the 3 weeks, you’ll complete your own Traditional Leaded Stained Glass panel—crafted by hand, using techniques passed down through generations. No experience needed! To ensure your success, studio time will be available between classes for students needing additional time to reach the next stage before the following session. Cancellations by Prairie Glass If we need to cancel or reschedule a class and the new date doesn’t work for you, you’ll receive a full refund or credit. In the event of severe weather (such as snowstorms or extreme cold), please contact us to confirm if your class is proceeding. Cancellations by Participants • More than 7 days before class: Full refund or credit. • Within 7 days of class: Class credit offered, pending availability. • Within 2 days of class: Partial class credit (class value minus $25) offered, pending availability.
