Workshop Description
In this informational session, we will be discussing the process of Glass Fusing. There will be samples to look at and supporting written materials that each student will be able to take home. We will be covering the following topics ✨ Glass Fusing Vocabulary ✨ Types of glass, compatibility, and glass separators ✨ What happens to the glass when its being fired ✨ How to set up your kiln and entering a firing schedule ✨ Understanding the firing schedules and how to write your own Please note that this is not a project-based workshop, but an opportunity to learn about the science of glass fusing. This class is open to anyone, whether you have a kiln or are considering investing in one. We encourage students to come with questions, a notebook, and a camera. If you have purchased a kiln from us, your fee is waived.
